Norwell Girls Travel Basketball helps girls in grades 3–8 learn, improve, and compete with their town beside them.
Our mission
We create a positive, supportive environment where young athletes can grow through basketball. Strong fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence guide what we teach—on and off the court.
Every player develops at her own pace. Our goal is to give athletes of different abilities and experience levels meaningful opportunities to learn and contribute. Progress matters, and every player should feel valued, challenged, and supported.
What travel basketball means
Players represent Norwell in games against other communities through the Old Colony and South Shore leagues. Team assignments and competition help players put their practice skills into action.
The program serves grades 3–8. Grade-specific formats, evaluations, and team placements for 2026–27 will be shared with registration information.
Fundamentals first
Ball handling, shooting, passing, defense, and decision-making. Skills build with practice and experience.
A team for growth
Respect, effort, accountability, and sportsmanship shape how players and coaches show up for one another.
Confidence through play
Players need meaningful chances to contribute, try new skills, make mistakes, and learn from them.
Parents are part of the team
Encourage effort and growth, support every player, and model respectful sideline behavior. Discuss questions privately with coaches, away from the emotions of a game.
